Here you will find a list of telescope facilities I frequently use or plan to use as part of my studies.

Bok 90″ Telescope

MMT Observatory

The MMT Observatory is the premier visible-light and infrared telescope jointly managed by the University of Arizona and the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, and the University of Arizona. Located at the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory(FLWO) on Mt. Hopkins in southern Arizona, this 6.5-m telescope is used to study objects across the field of astronomy, from the Solar System to distant galaxies. The MMT has provided a testbed for new telescope technologies developed by scientists and engineers at the CfA and the University of Arizona.

LBT Observatory

The Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) is located on Mt. Graham in south eastern Arizona, and is part of the Mount Graham International Observatory. It is unique both in having the largest total collecting area of any Optical/IR telescope and, more importantly, provides the largest optical baseline, which enables the highest resolution IR imaging through the technique of interferometry. With its 22.5m baseline, it is the first of the next generation of large ground based telescope that are expected to have baselines of 20m or greater. The LBT is a private telescope operated by an international consortium of universities from Germany, Italy and the United States – including the University of Arizona.
