Below you can find my passion projects related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as educational and mentoring related efforts.

University of Arizona Sky School

The University of Arizona Sky School provides daytime and overnight science education programs to K-12 students. Participants learn about the unique Sky Island ecology and astronomy using authentic, hands-on scientific tools and methods. We strive to merge a wide variety of science and engineering disciplines to foster a deeper understanding of our earth, while building an appreciation for our sense of place.

I am currently one of three graduate students who are developing a new astronomy-based curriculum for the program.

Scientific Communication

I am one of the co-creators of the Steward Observatory Novel Astrophysical Transients Alliance (SONATA) at the University of Arizona. The four core graduate students involved in transient science came together in Fall of 2023 to create this science group in an effort to communicate the amazing science and facilities affiliated with Steward Observatory.

Grad CAFE

I am a peer mentor for the inaugural cohort of the Graduate Communities for Academic Fellowship and Efficacy (Grad CAFE).
